Dallas Estate - Part time (20 hrs/week) General Administrator/ Bookkeeper

Location: Dallas, near Forres in Moray

Salary: £14 - £18/hour dependent on skill set

An opportunity has arisen for a self motivated General Administrator/Bookkeeper to join Dallas Estate. The successful applicant will work part-time from the Estate office and the role includes general office administration, management support and bookkeeping - knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential and of Quickbooks an advantage. Potential candidates must have a flexible, positive attitude with the ability to work as part of a small and friendly team.

The varied role encompasses supporting the management and maintenance of Dallas Lodge and gardens, the Estate’s rental cottages, holiday lets and let farms/ grazings / sporting.  The successful candidate will report to the owner and liaise with consultants for estate management, agriculture, forestry and health and safety, as well as local trades and contractors. Bookkeeping duties, including invoicing, payroll, VAT, budgets and quarterly reports, are an important part of the role.

This is a rewarding position for the successful candidate and salary will be dependent on experience. There is an employer’s pension contribution of 4%. The working hours would ideally be 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday, with 20 days paid holiday in addition to Public Holidays. A degree of flexibility could be offered.

The positions, which are based in Perth, Forfar and Aberdeen, offer the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of professional work for a good variety of clients, with a focus on negotiations, rural estate management and valuation.

Applicants must have the ability to cope with a changing and varied workload, be self-motivated and possess good communication skills with attention to detail.

Travel throughout Scotland is required and a full driving licence and access to a car for business purposes is essential.

The ideal applicant will be at least two years post qualified (MRICS) and a RICS Registered Valuer with the relevant experience. Being a Fellow of CAAV is an advantage, but not essential.
