Wellbank Cottage, Cortachy, by Kirriemuir, is available to let weekly or monthly throughout the year.

Location

Wellbank is located in the heart of the Angus Countryside and yet conveniently situated for Kirriemuir, 5 miles Forfar 8 miles and Carnoustie 21 miles. It is approximately 1 mile from the village of Dykehead and the beautiful scenic glens of Prosen and Clova.

Accommodation

The cottage has been fully modernised to provide a first class holiday residence.  The accommodation, which is all on one level, comprises:-

  • 2 public rooms
  • 4 bedrooms – 1 of which is en-suite
  • 1 bathroom
  • Cloakroom
  • Kitchen with Aga Cooker
  • Utility/Laundry Room

There is an aga, microwave, two refrigerators, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher and the house has full oil fired central heating.  There is also a small upright freezer.  Blankets, bedlinen, towels, crockery and cutlery are all provided.   Wifi is also available in the cottage.

Supplies

The nearest shops are in Kirriemuir within driving distance.Basic provisions can be purchased at the discretion of the housekeeper who must be reimbursed upon arrival.

Rent

The rent includes coal, logs, electricity, any local telephone calls. There is an honesty box provided for the use of clients who make long distance calls during the tenancy:-

The full rental amount must be paid no later than one month before the start of the period booked.

SMOKING – Airlie Estates advise that the interior of Wellbank Cottage is a no smoking area and guests are asked to abide by this policy and not smoke anywhere within the interior of the property, failure to comply with this will be reported by the housekeeper to the estate and the estate will levy a £250.00 fine to the booking client for non compliance with the no – smoking policy.

Insurance

No liability can be accepted for any loss, injury or damage suffered by the Tenants or any members of their party during their stay, however such loss, injury or damage may be caused.  Tenants will be responsible for arranging their own holiday insurance.

Arrivals/ Departures

CLIENTS AREASKED TO ADHERE TO THIS AS WE REQUIRE ADEQUATE TIME FOR OUR HOUSEKEEPING STAFF TO COMPLETE THE HOUSEKEEPING OF THE COTTAGE AND CLIENTS ARRIVING EARLY WILL BE ASKED TO RETURN AFTER THE STAFF HAVE COMPLETED THEIR WORK. LUGGAGE MAY BE LEFT BUT STRICTLY NO OCCUPATION IS ALLOWED BEFORE 3.30 PM TENANTS WILL NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 3.30p.m on their date of arrival as shown on their enclosed invoice.  TENANTS MUST DEPART NO LATER THAN 10.30 A.M. ON THEIR DATE OF DEPARTURE.

Owners Rights of Cancellation

The owner of the cottage reserves the right to cancel any bookings made at any time without any liability attaching to the owner of the accommodation concerned, although all monies paid in respect of any bookings so cancelled will be refunded.
AIRLIE ESTATES RESERVES THE RIGHT TO INVOICE CLIENTS AFTER THEIR STAY FOR PHONE CALLS AND INTERNET USE
