Shiel Fishings and Rowanhill Cottage

Man fly fishing

Location: Ardnamurchan Peninsula, West Coast
Property Type: Fishing, Lodge weeks

The River Shiel is a short river flowing out of Loch Shiel through a number of pools all of different character.  The pools are easy to fish from the banks or wading.  The famous House Pool is fished from a number of stages.  Fishing the Sea Pool on a rising tide with running sea trout provides exciting sport.

Fishing extends from early May to end September with the greater numbers of salmon and sea trout being caught later in the season.  A catch and release policy has been adopted.

Accommodation can be provided at Rowanhill Cottage, Acharacle, situated on the north bank of the river.  Rowanhill Cottage is an attractive, traditional two storey self catering cottage with three bedrooms sleeping 6.
