Location

Edderton is a small pleasant village near the shores of the Dornoch Firth. The village has a hotel and primary school with secondary schooling at Tain Royal Academy. Tain, some five miles away, has all the local services, supermarkets, banks, professional offices and leisure facilities required. The well-known Royal Burgh of Dornoch is approximately 9 miles north and has a wide range of facilities including shops, schools, sandy beaches and the world famous links golf course.

Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands is some 34 miles south by road and has a modern shopping centre, hospital, theatre, cinemas and a mainline railway station. Inverness Airport has a variety of services to destinations both domestic and overseas. These include Flybe and Easyjet to London Gatwick, Luton, Birmingham, Belfast, Manchester and Bristol and also British Airways to Heathrow allowing onward travel to most destinations.

The area of Easter Ross is renowned for its "mini climate" with below average rainfall which helps maximize the local amenities, particularly outdoor pursuits with ample opportunity for recreational activities and plenty of choice for the sailor, hillwalker and mountaineer. The local rivers and lochs provide good quality salmon and trout fishing for the angler and there are several excellent golf courses close by.
