Kinlochlaich House is a B listed Georgian Gothic style house dating from about 1800, but with some parts of the house having much earlier origins. The main part of the house is over three floors in addition to a cellar. There are three individual apartments, one within the main house and two of which form part of the original tackmans house. The house stands on the south facing slopes of the Appin hills in just over an acre of mature gardens and there is a sweeping driveway to the front for the private house and to the rear for the apartments. There is a shared rear courtyard where there is a double garage and a machine store. Some parts of the house, although perfectly functional, may now benefit from minor modernisation.

Appin is located on the shores of Loch Linnhe about 17 miles north of Oban and about 27 miles south of Fort William. Appin is a charming village, within a short drive of many of the popular attractions of the area. It has a village hall, primary school, doctors surgery, church and a garden centre. The large towns of Oban and Fort William offer a range of facilities, shops, supermarkets, schools, hospitals and rail links.
Travel north from Oban on the A85, crossing the Connel Bridge and proceeding on the A828. Follow the road for about 12 miles. On reaching the village of Appin, continue for 0.6 miles, watching for the Kinlochlaich Garden Centre sign on the right hand side. Turn right onto the side road and then right again onto the drive for Kinlochlaich House.
