The crofts at Kilvaree are situated in a scenic location close to both Oban and Connel. Access will be via a private road shared between the sites.

The crofts are in a prime location and extend to between 1.60 acres and 3.60 acres. The landscape is a combination of cultivated agricultural land, moorland and both evergreen and deciduous woodland scattered around the gently rolling hills. There are panoramic views over the neighbouring countryside including glimpses of Ben Cruachan to the east.

Each croft site is sold with crofting tenure in place, giving the successful purchaser the opportunity to continue with the crofting tradition. Further information on crofting can be found by visiting the Crofting Commission Website http://www.crofting.scotland.gov.uk/

The village of Connel, which is approximately two miles to the east, supports a thriving community with a village store and post office as well as two hotels, a doctors' surgery and a well-respected primary school. A modern village hall regularly holds activities for the community and there are regular bus and train services connecting the village to both Oban and Glasgow.

The picturesque, seaside town of Oban, approximately three miles to the west, supports a wide range of shopping, recreational facilities, banks, building societies and professional offices. There is a hospital plus churches of different denominations. Oban is home to a busy harbour from which the Caledonian MacBrayne ferries operate daily, serving the Inner and Outer Hebrides.

North Argyll is a particularly popular holiday destination and is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The sea lochs provide not only some of the best sailing waters in Europe, but also contain some of the most historic and interesting diving sites. There is a marina at Dunstaffnage just a few miles from the subjects as well as moorings for rent in Connel.   The famous ski centres of Glencoe and Aonach Mhor are both within reasonable driving distance.

Travelling from Oban, take the A85 north for 5 miles, then turn right at the Oyster Inn just before Connel Bridge and after roughly 50 yards, take another right turn. Follow this single-track road for approximately 1.5 miles and the entrance to Kilvaree is on the left, clearly marked with a For Sale board.
