Built in the 1870's Feith Mhor (Fay Mor) is a recently renovated, charming and substantial country house taking its Gaelic name from its surroundings: great stillness. Set amidst delightful gardens and grounds it enjoys marvellous views to the West over the remote Monadhliath hills.

Feith Mhor Lodge
Stone steps lead to a hardwood door to a small vestibule which in turn leads to the impressive main hall with ornamental features.   Doors lead to the sitting room and dining room and there is an opening to the rear hall.

To the right is the sitting room which has windows overlooking the front garden. There is recessed shelving with storage below.   An open fire on a slate hearth is an attractive feature.

To the left of the hall is the dining room which has dual aspect windows to the front and side gardens, there is plenty of room for a large dining table with room for 10-12 people.   To the rear of the dining room is a seating area for relaxing after dinner.

From the main hall a small inner hall leads to a WC/drying room and bedroom 6. This bedroom is a double room which overlooks the side garden and has a modern en-suite shower room.

The rear hall takes you to the kitchen which has dual aspect windows overlooking the side gardens. Feith Mhor Cottage
Feith Mhor cottage is an attractive property sitting to the rear of the main house.

A door leads to the hall where a staircase rises to the upper floor and a small staircase takes you to the sitting room. The dining room lies to the end of the hall and has fitted cupboards giving excellent storage.

The sitting room is a cosy room with beamed ceiling and a fireplace with a wood burning stove set a in a cast iron fireplace on a slate hearth. Dual aspect windows overlook the side gardens. From the sitting room a door takes you to an inner hall to the master bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom has a three-piece suite in white comprising WC, wash hand basin and bath with tiled surround and shower over.

The master bedroom is a spacious room with a built-in wardrobe and recessed shelving.

Beananach Cottage
This second cottage is set to the side of Feith Mhor Cottage. The property has rustic charm and original features and beams.

A door opens to a spacious hallway which is currently used as an office, stair rise to the upper floor.   An opening gives access to the sitting room which has dual aspect windows enjoying rural views. Location

The small village of Carrbridge is surrounded by spectacular scenery and sits at the northern gateway to the Cairngorms National Park. It has the oldest stone bridge in the Highlands and is surrounded by ancient pine forest.   There is a shop, primary school, garage, bar/restaurant and also a popular golf course. The Railway Station is on the Highland Main Line and has frequent services to Inverness and Perth. Inverness Airport has regular flights to Birmingham, Bristol and Heathrow along with other UK and European destinations.

The Cairngorm and Lecht ski areas are within easy driving distance, and sailing, kayaking and windsurfing is available on Loch Morlich and Loch Insh.

The area is a haven for wildlife with red squirrels, red deer, ospreys and golden eagles. Grouse and pheasant shooting, deer stalking, and salmon fishing are available in the Spey Valley.

From A9 follow signs for Carrbridge. Go into Carrbridge Village centre. Turn opposite the village shop into Station Road. Follow this road for about two miles. Feith Mhor is on the right-hand side.
