Dinmurchie Farm is located in an extremely picturesque and peaceful situation on the southern fringe of South Ayrshire in the conservation hamlet of Barr.

Barr has a small but versatile community run village shops which can provide everyday necessities. It has a local primary school, with secondary school education available in Girvan.

Girvan is located 8 miles away and has a wider range of shops and facilities including a post office, bank, independent retail shops and restaurants. The town of Ayr is situated 29 miles away which offers a much fuller range of facilities and some of the better known high street shops. Girvan provides regular train services to Stranraer, Ayr and Glasgow where a wider range of amenities are available.

Directions On arriving in Girvan traveling south from Ayr take the first exit at Bridgemill roundabout on the edge of Girvan signposted B734. Continue on this road to small hamlet known as Old Dailly and here turn right singpost for Barr. Continue on this road veering left to Barr. Turn right over the bridge towards Pinwherry and then take the first left onto The Clachan. Continue to the end of the road and take left up the track towards Dinmurchie Farm.
