*CLOSING DATE SET FOR FRIDAY 3RD MAY AT 12 NOON*
Achnafalnich is a charming, traditional stone cottage set in an idyllic and peaceful location within Glen Orchy on the outskirts of Dalmally. The original building dates back to the late 19th century but it has since been sympathetically extended and a recent program of renovation and upgrade now sees it offer an excellent, modern standard of living. The property offers stunning views across the River Orchy and beyond to the vast rugged landscape.
The accommodation comprises of; three bedrooms, a cosy family lounge, combined kitchen dining room, family bathroom, a utility room and an entrance porch. The property is tastefully decorated throughout and benefits from electric heating plus an open fire. There is also an additional room at the rear, accessed externally, which could be adapted for a multitude of uses. This room also houses the filtration system for the private water supply.
Achnafalnich sits by the side of a quiet road that winds through the glen and benefits from spectacular views of the surrounding countryside - perhaps best enjoyed from the bench in the pretty garden immediately across the road, which also forms part of the sale.
The land area extends to approximately two thirds of an acre. The immediate curtilage is laid largely to grass at the rear with off-street parking for multiple vehicles available at the front. There is also a substantial stone barn to the east of the cottage which is currently used for general storage but could perhaps provide development potential, subject to the necessary planning consents.
The property has been successfully let as a holiday cottage for a number of years but would be equally suited a family home or second home. Interest is certain to be high, and early viewing is recommended.
