The Angus Glens provide some of the finest hill walking in Eastern Scotland and there are ski slopes at Glenshee. Kirriemuir has a number of local shops, with additional services and larger shops available in nearby Forfar and Dundee, Perth and Aberdeen are all easily reached.   The property lies within the catchment area for Cortachy Primary School and Northmuir Primary School and Webster's High School in Kirriemuirl; all of which have received excellent reviews in recent inspections.

From Forfar take the A926 road to Kirriemuir, passing over the A90 and continuing through Padanaram and Maryton. Continue on the A926 and turn left onto Morrison Street (opposite Thrums the vets). At the crossroads continue straight over onto Lindsay Street. Continue on this road round a right hand bend, with the road merging onto B955, Cortachy Road. Turn left onto Mid Road approximately 0.8 miles after the right hand bend.

From Forfar take the A926 and go straight ahead at the mini roundabout signposted Memus, Cortachy and the Glens. After approximately 0.95 miles turn left, signposted Memus, Cortachy and the Glens. Continue on this road, until you reach the crossroads and turn right onto the B957. After approximately 1.3 miles the cottages are located at the left hand side of the road.
