Farming Scotland Conference – Innovations in Farming

The fifteenth annual Farming Scotland Conference will take place at Carnoustie Hotel on Thursday 8 February 2018. It is organised and co-sponsored by  EQ, along with Bell Ingram,  Royal Bank of Scotland and Thorntons Solicitors.

The Farming Scotland Conference aims to bring together like minded progressive businesses from throughout the Scottish agriculture industry to listen to and promote discussion and debate on issues which affect the industry here and throughout the world.

The focus of the conference will be on the future, with our exciting line up of speakers sharing their views and experience under the banner of ‘Innovations in Farming’.

John Kinnaird  was appointed Agriculture Sustainability Champion by the Scottish Government in January 2017 and sits on the National Council of Rural Advisors.  He is a former NFUS President from 2003-2007.

Colin Campbell is Chief Executive and responsible for leadership and strategic direction f the James Hutton Institute which is the biggest research institute in agri-environment issues in the UK.

Kit Franklin is an Agricultural Engineering Lecturer from Harper Adams University.  Kit’s research focusses on ‘future farming systems’ with the most notable project to date being the Hands Free Hectare.

Chris Newenham has been joint Managing Director of Wilkin & Sons Ltd since July 2016 having previously been Farm Director.  Wilkin & Sons are a long established farming and food manufacturing business most recognised for their Tiptree brand.
